The Site

Keepmoat Homes are proposing to build new homes on a vacant site in Madeley.

The site comprises of approximately 1.65ha of poor-quality grazing field and is on the western side of Moss Lane, adjacent to the village envelope of Madeley, but well related to the village centre. Vehicular access is currently provided from both the garden of Rowley House and a gated access with Moss Lane.

Madeley is identified as being one of the three largest rural service centres which are detailed as providing the most comprehensive provision of essential local services. Madeley has a range of services, including a primary school (Sir John Offley School) and a secondary school (Madeley High School, a specialist technology academy), with another primary school (the Meadows) in Madeley Heath, a village community centre (the Madeley Centre), public house, doctor’s surgery, and a number of shops. It also has good road links to higher order settlements with additional facilities whilst also having links to cross border centres such as Crewe for further employment, retail/service and high level rail services.

This vacant site provides the perfect opportunity for Keepmoat Homes to deliver high quality homes in a sustainable location that is close to the shops and facilities and close to the bus stops.

Keepmoat Homes are currently working alongside a number of specialist consultants who are considering technical matters like the drainage and the surrounding road network.
